Group Reporting Accountant

£50,000 - £60,000 DOE

Our client, a successful international engineering and manufacturing company, is looking for a Group Reporting Accountant due to expansion. This is a new role within their business and reports to the group financial controller.

You will support the Group financial consolidation and reporting process, including the preparation of the Group’s monthly management accounts. You will assist in the preparation of the Group’s half year and full year financial reporting and produce the Group’s monthly management accounting pack and other monthly reporting packs issued to the Board.

Other responsibilities will include:

- Liaising with the external audit team as part of their audit of the Group’s financial statements
- Provide financial analysis of the Group’s financial results
- Assess the impact of new accounting standards on the Group
- Ensure adherence to the Group’s financial policies by its reporting entities, including participation in on site reviews
- Assist in maintaining the Group’s reporting chart of accounts including the calculation of its financial KPIs

To be considered, we are looking for the following:

- Be a qualified accountant (Ideally ACA) and have at least 2 years post qualified experience
- Have experience with PLC’s (Public Listed Companies)
- Experience in audits
- Technically proficient in IFRS
- Experience of working with multi-currency consolidations

You possess excellent written and spoken English and enjoy working within an informal and fluid working environment, and are able to deal with conflicting demands for their time. You can adapt and work effectively within different working styles of the various subsidiary finance teams across the Group.
