We are looking for experienced bookkeepers qualified to AAT level 4.

Our client would potentially look at strong, AAT level 3 candidates with 3+ years accountancy practice experience also.

Our client has offices in Tonbridge & Medway and they are happy for both successful candidates to be based from either office.

The successful candidates will be managing a portfolio of clients within various industries, which will be issued to you at the beginning of your new role.

This position is office based in our client’s newly refurbished, fresh, open plan offices which include two individual management offices and a meeting room for client visits which can also be used at times within your role as an experienced bookkeeper, should you require a nice quiet space.

Every client on your portfolio is different. You will be required to manage your own workload which is undertaken from within either our client’s own office or, if necessary you will attend client premises on either a weekly/monthly/quarterly or annual basis, of which you will work directly with your client tending to their needs and requirements. This gives you variety in your role and also creates a great opportunity for you to build positive client relationships.

Ideally our client wishes to recruit for x2 Full Time bookkeepers however, for one of the roles, they would consider Part Time, with a minimum of 3 days a week to be worked.


  • Computer literate.
  • Must have Sage experience and knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, and Free Agent would be preferred but not required.
  • Experience of payroll processing would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work under your own initiative with little supervision, although support will always be available.
  • Ability to cope with demanding deadlines.
  • Ideally have practice experience.
  • Full driving licence.


  • Preparation of VAT and CIS returns.
  • Day to day bookkeeping, management accounts, budgets, cash flows, credit control for our clients at either their premises or within our office.
  • Liaising with clients to resolve questions on bookkeeping, VAT or CIS.
