Assistant Finance Business Partner

Our client is looking for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join their successful team.

Working within the non-profit sector you will support the provision of comprehensive performance analysis of all fundraising and commercial activities. You’ll maintain strong relationships with income generation (fundraising and commercial) managers, improving the impact and understanding of financial reporting on charity performance and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies.

You will manage all aspects of fundraised income and return on investment reporting for the charity and its European subsidiaries. This includes collecting and analysing complex data, interpreting trends and variances from budgets and forecasts with a view to providing timely and meaningful insight into monthly fundraising performance.

You will also manage their software systems interface between their CRM and finance systems to ensure reconciliation processes are maintained effectively.

Other responsibilities may include:

- Ensuring that the data connected with fundraising appeals are accurate, consistent and up to date and manage the General Ledger and Project Ledger.
- Produce the monthly management accounts for the charity
- Prepare and reconcile Gift Aid and Legacy Tax claims, and make adjustments to the management accounts as required

Using your people and communications skills you will work with fundraising stakeholders and present, provide and advise them of high-quality management accounting data and reports. You will also ensure that cost centre managers are kept up to date on month-end income and expenditure performance against budget and future cash flows.

To be considered we are looking for the following:

- Fully AAT qualified or part CIMA qualified
- Experience in the analysis, interpretation and reporting of high volumes of complex financial data
- Experience of working in and development of a computerised accounting system
- Extensive post-qualification experience in a management accounting role
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel including demonstrable working knowledge of dealing with high volumes of complex data using macros and pivot tables
- Documented CPD track record throughout post qualification period

Please note that the charity is a multi-site, 7-day operation and therefore there may be some requirement to work flexibly to meet the needs of the Charity. There may be occasions when the post holder may be requested to work at another location considered reasonable by the Charity.
